Police in Harrisburg were called to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Walnut and Balm streets at 12:15 p.m. on July 9, 2023.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Myriah Crittenden also known as Morah, suffering from gunshot wounds, the County Coroner confirmed on Tuesday.

Officers gave the man emergency aid but were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead, according to the police release.

Crittenden has a criminal record under both names for crimes including the following between 2008 and 2021: selling cocaine, shooting a gun he illegally possessed, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, terroristic threats, and escaping from the police. He served approximately four years in jail and has had no charges against him since his last release.

Although no arrests have been made the police believe this was a targeted shooting.
